No Labrador
Hey Posse. I am sorry to report that there ended up not being a Labrador trip. Apparently the caribou's migration got a little screwed up and they weren't going to be where they were supposed to be. Dean and I ended up hunting in Massachusetts for the shotgun season but didn't have any luck. We are headed back down Sunday afternoon for muzzleloader season on Monday. Hopefully we will have better luck. Well that's about it for now, have to go shovel some snow. Be safe and God bless.

Labrador Caribou Hunt
Hey Posse. Sorry it's been awhile since the last post. Returned from Maine without the bruiser I was looking for but I found a cool moose shed and had plenty of laughs with my dad and other camp guys. Very peaceful time. The Allagash is truly a beautiful place. I will be leaving this Friday for a Caribou hunt near Labrador. It is at least a 24 hour drive for us but it will all be worth while when we get there. My buddy Dean and I are going with a couple of posse members from Massachusetts. Should be a great time. Hopefully we will hit the migration just right. Again I'm taking the TC Pro Hunter Muzzleloader and my Bear Whitetail 2 Bow. May be too cold to use the bow but just in case. Hope all my fellow posse members are having a great season know matter what there hunting and if you don't hunt hope you're just getting outside and enjoying the great outdoors in some fashion. Well that's it for now. God bless posse.

The Elusive Whitetail
The trip to Talladega cut into some of my bow season here in Vermont this year but I was able to get out 4 times. I almost made a 5th but the wind was blowing so hard the tree my stand is in almost went down. Some tops off the other trees snapped so I figured that was my cue to exit. With age comes wisdom. Actually not, I just wanted to live to hunt another day. I will be off to Northern Maine in about 2 weeks to chase the big elusive whitetail bucks that tip the scales at over 200 pounds and sport some nice headgear to boot. Doing things a bit different this year. I'm actually going to try to sit in a stand all day (usually I do a lot of hiking) and I am only bringing my TC encore pro hunter with the muzzleloader barrel. My 72 year old friend Dean thinks I am absolutely nuts. I'm going to stick to my guns (no pun intended) and follow through with my plan. Hunting to me is not only about harvesting an animal but everything involved in a hunt. I want to succeed on my terms. I may come back empty handed and with a crying towel but I am prepared for it. Keep on rollin Posse. Take care and God bless.

Special Thanks to Posse Member Gene
Just a quick note to give a special thanks to posse member Gene from Talladega for making us feel welcome during our recent visit. He stopped by and visited with us for hours and we shared many a hunting story. Even got to look at a photo album of some exciting hunts Gene has been on. Especially want to thank him for the venison steaks and seasonings he brought by for us to cook on our little tailgate stove. Made for 2 wonderful breakfast. These are the kinds of relationships we would like to develop with all the posse members throughout the country. If I get time off Gene has invited me down for a hunt. That there is southern hospitality at its best. Thanks again Gene. I am proud to call you friend.

Talladega Redneck Capital of the World....Not
Hey folks. Talladega is over and I have to say that I am disappointed to say that I was mistaken that Talladega is the Redneck capital of the world. Sure there were obviously lots of Nascar fans around but not the run of the mill person I had expected. We watched for hours as $300,000 or more motor homes towing SUV's and golf carts paraded by. People were saying how bad the economy is but you couldn't prove it by me this past week. We had a lot of positive response to our product and made quite a few sales but even the Nascar memorabilia vendors didn't do all to well either. What I want to know is where are all my Posse members at. Maybe Charlotte? I don't know. I am beginning to think we are a dying breed. I hope people prove me wrong. If you are a Posse member, rise on up and give me a holla. I'm truthfully loud and posse proud. We are in Mobile for a couple of days and then heading back north. Alabama is a beautiful state. It is a definate contender on the list for a relocation to warmth. That's it for tonight. Talk at ya when I return. God bless.

Off to Talladega, AL
Redneck Posse will be setting up outside of the Talladega Superspeedway for the upcoming Nascar race. We are leaving Vermont tomorrow morning and will be driving for a couple of days. Please keep us in your prayers as we travel. Hope to see some of our southern posse members come on out and introduce themselves. I'm sure we can exchange a few hunting stories. On another note I want to give a shout out to fellow posse members Duane and Carol from Massachusetts. Duane had surgery yesterday on an aneurism in his leg. He has another one in the other leg that will have to be repaired also but only after he recupes from this one a little. Please keep them in your prayers. That's it for now, got to continue packing for the big adventure. Take care Posse.
