Youth Hunt
Hey all Posse. This coming weekend is the Vermont youth hunting weekend. We've got quite a few trail cam pics of some deer that we would like to take. Finally got some bucks coming around checking out the mock scrape I set up near the treestand. Hopefully my granddaughter can have an opportunity to fill her tag and put some meat in the freezer. I'm just glad she still wants to get out and give it a try. Most kids these days want to hang on the couch and play video games. She will be using my Thompson Center Encore Pro hunter with the .243 barrel. She is only going to have the one shot but with my instruction that's all it should take. Want to wish all the other youth Posse members out there the best of luck. Enjoy your time afield with family and friends, that's what this is truly about. God bless Posse.

Vermont's Turkey Youth Weekend Hunt
Hey Posse. Got to get out a little this past weekend for the youth turkey hunt. Being new to turkey hunting myself it was quite an adventure. Took my granddaughter out both days. We see a few turkeys but they were pretty tight lipped and on a mission to go somewhere else. They totally ignored our calling. It was still a neat experience because neither of us had ever hunted from a ground blind before. Seemed totally foreign to me but looks like something I could get used to. Anytime you can get a child out in the great outdoors it is going to be an excellent time whether or not you harvest something or not. The regular season starts May 1st here in Vermont and we will be back out there trying to get the ol thunder chicken. To all the other Posse members out there hunting, good luck and be safe. God bless Posse.

Happy Easter Posse
There is good news this Easter morning. Jesus is risen. The tomb was empty and if not the Romans would've produced a body and if it was a hoax by the disciples what could they gain? They were persecuted, thrown out of their assemblies, stoned to death, hung upside down on a cross to be crucified, etc. It was no hoax. Jesus did what he foretold he would do. He gave us all a free gift and for that I thank him. He's not asking for religion, but relationship. I'm always going to be a sinner but I will try my best to be the man God wants me to be. Jesus paid the price for me. I no longer have to worry about spiritual death and being separated from God. My Savior reigns on high. Thank you Jesus. I just want to wish all the Posse members out there a very Happy Easter and want to encourage you that if you haven't had an encounter with Jesus, give him a second look. He won't disappoint you. God bless Posse.

Adirondack Sportsman Dinner
Hey Posse. Just thinking about a recent trip to Schroon Lake, NY to attend the Adirondack Sportsman Dinner. Great food, great seminars, prizes and good people. This event is free (they will take donations to help offset the costs) and it goes most of the day. One of the seminars I took was on survival in the wilderness. Great instructors and information. I will be repacking my backpack this year. They also had a feature speaker. His name is Joey Hancock. He was one of the top ten turkey hunters in Alabama in 1991, has been a chaplain with Nascar's Busch Series, author and is a pro-staff member on many outdoor companies. This man was hilarious. He has a relationship with the Lord and he mixed this with his hunting escapades which had the crowd in stitches. He was a wonderful speaker. If you get a chance to hear him don't miss out. Overall it was a very good day. The posse wants to thank all the volunteers for all their hard work to make this happen. God bless.

Congrats. Scott Brown
Hey Posse. Just want to give a congrats shout out to Scott Brown for winning the seat in Massachusetts formerly held by Ted Kennedy. Our Massachusetts brothers and sisters made it clear they are not happy with what is going on in our government today. The PEOPLE have spoken and it is about time. Let's hope this can continue so we can try and get back to a place where our individual freedoms aren't infringed upon, less regulation, lower taxes and definately smaller government. Hopefully this can be a good start. God bless posse.

Rough Year
Hey Posse. Sorry we haven't posted in awhile. In the last 6 months I have lost both my dad and my best friend. Dad was just recently over the holidays. I am trying to regroup and forge on in true redneck style. With the good Lord's help I will overcome. Since I last wrote, my wife has gotten her hunting license and is excited to get out in the woods this coming year. Speaking of hunting we have been approached to sponsor some local guys who have been filming their own hunts. We will be checking them out and seeing if that is something we will do. We here at Redneck Posse look forward to meeting other posse members. If you get a chance contact us via twitter. There is a link on our website. God bless posse.
